Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer - Specialized Educational Institution to protect students, staff, and visitors on a campus environment.

The role offers daytime and weekend shifts with a flexible schedule through our Claim a Shift platform. You will patrol, deter incidents, and report observations with integrity, reliability, teamwork, and care across educational settings.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required per federal, state, and local laws.
• Criminal history considered per applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and families by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with school policies, providing directions and assistance while maintaining awareness of campus activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
