Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for an educational setting in New York, NY. The role emphasizes customer service, visible security presence, and reliable communication to maintain a welcoming campus environment.

Responsabilidades

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community while following security procedures and campus policies.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and emergencies.
• Conduct regular patrols of buildings, residences, grounds, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe campus activity, and report hazards or violations to site contacts.
• Document patrols and incidents accurately and communicate with Allied Universal leadership.

You will interact professionally with students, staff, and visitors while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.40 - $21.40 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM
• Fri 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, grounds, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
