Job summary

Allied Universal® in Houston, TX is seeking a Security Officer Spanish Speaking Patrol to protect clients at a financial institution and nearby facilities. You will conduct routine patrols, verify access, respond to incidents, and deliver excellent customer service in Spanish.

This full-time position offers daytime shifts, a pay rate of $17.00 per hour, and opportunities for training and career growth within a leading security services company.

Qualifications

• Fluent Spanish spoken, read and written.
• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Minimum 1 year armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Guard Card or license preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel at a financial institution location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and report unusual activity or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and contact appropriate personnel or emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular/unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior areas, parking locations, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and access-related events in clear reports.

At a financial institution location, our unarmed Patrol Officers conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, observe and report security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
