Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol in Houston, TX to safeguard government aviation facilities with a visible presence, access-control, and incident response. You will conduct patrols, verify credentials, respond to incidents, and maintain detailed shift reports while collaborating with site leadership and contacts.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public at a government aviation location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking facilities, roadways, and perimeter locations; report unusual conditions, hazards, and security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and authorized access points; verify credentials and direct visitors in accordance with established policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift records, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
