Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer SOC for Piscataway, NJ. You will monitor, patrol, and deter incidents while delivering exceptional guest and team member service.

This full-time role offers a daytime to overnight schedule, a $25.05/hour pay rate, and opportunities to work at a premier retail location within a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, guests, and associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management practices in a luxury retail environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with site policies and Allied Universal procedures.
