Allied Universal in Culver City, CA is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide trusted, flexible security services with fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform. The role offers a pay rate of $21.00 per hour and requires a background check and drug screen where permitted by law.

• Wed: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail common areas, storefronts, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns, and report observations through established procedures.
• Assist with access control, directions, and coordination with site management and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
