Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer in Culver City, CA. This role offers flexible hours, anchor shifts, and opportunities to earn more by picking up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will provide customer service to visitors and employees, perform security procedures, respond to incidents calmly, and help maintain a safe environment at a retail/mall location. A valid driver’s license and high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check and drug screen will be conducted.
• Valid driver’s license is preferred for driving sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and employees while enforcing site policies.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, professional manner; escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of common areas, storefronts, and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report hazards, incidents, and policy violations; complete required reports accurately.
• Assist with access control and provide visitor support while maintaining professionalism.

As a Security Officer in Culver City, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and mall location.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, storefronts, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, hazards, and policy violations; document incidents and complete required reports accurately.
• Assist with access control, directions, and general visitor support while maintaining a professional presence throughout the property.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
