Job summary

Allied Universal in Florida is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced at Juno Beach to provide reliable security coverage with a flexible schedule and the option to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

This role offers fixed anchor shifts, a program to claim extra shifts through our scheduling platform, and the potential to scale hours up to 40 per week while maintaining work‑life balance. Pay rate is $19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Guard card is required.
• Background investigation will be conducted.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local regulations.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors at a site while following site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to deter incidents.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and report concerns or violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and according to procedures.
• Prepare clear activity reports and patrol logs in line with site requirements.

How This Role Works

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors at a utility operations location while carrying out site‑specific procedures and security‑related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted and critical infrastructure areas, verify credentials as directed, and report access concerns or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate contacts.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Guard card is required.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
