Allied Universal in Boynton Beach, FL is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Entry Control. This role offers a flexible schedule with anchor shifts and a six-month commitment, plus opportunities to pick up extra shifts via the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

You will handle access control, monitor entry points, and respond to incidents at a government location, with customer service as a core element while building experience toward a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Valid driver’s license as per Allied Universal requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen as conditions of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees and the public at access-control locations.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor records.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate when needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of entrances, parking, and perimeter.
• Complete accurate logs and security-related documentation.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Entry Control - Boynton Beach, FL

Pay Rate: $18.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Mon 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, maintain visitor records, and direct individuals in accordance with established entry and departure procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report suspicious activity or unauthorized access.
• Complete accurate reports, logs, and other documentation related to access-control activities, incidents, and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
