Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Part Time Security Officer in Greencastle, IN. You will patrol, monitor access, and provide excellent customer service to tenants and visitors at a commercial property.

This role offers flexible scheduling with day and evening shifts and opportunities to grow within a leading security services company. A high school diploma, background check, and CPR certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks in accordance with laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency responses.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interiors, exteriors, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain documentation.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, professional manner; notify appropriate personnel or responders as directed.
• Maintain a professional presence and report hazards or maintenance concerns.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, property concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
• Help maintain a professional presence at the location, communicate observed hazards or maintenance concerns, and support a positive environment for tenants and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
