Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is seeking a part-time Security Officer for the 3:00pm–11:00pm shift at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. You will help maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff across all hospital areas, including weekends and holidays.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, NYS security license, 8/16 hour security training, and BCLS certification within 90 days (renewed every two years).

The Security Officer will perform all duties assigned consistent with New York Methodist Hospital's commitment to providing quality health care services in a compassionate and humane manner. This is a Part-Time evening shift position 3:00pm-11:00pm, including all weekends/holidays and some weekdays, located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Preferred Criteria

• One year security experience within a hospital or related medical setting.
• Valid driver's license.

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 8 & 16 Hour Security Courses
• NYS Security License
• Completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 90 days of starting in role and continued BCLS certification required every two years.
• Must be able to write and communicate effectively with all levels of staff and visitors
• Writing legibility and clearly
• Basic computer literacy.
