Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a Security Officer to be the visible front line for our hospital campuses in New York City. You will protect patients, visitors, employees and property, maintain access control, and respond to emergencies as part of a dedicated security team.

This role requires weekend/holiday coverage across rotating shifts. A valid NYS Security Guard License, a high school diploma, and BCLS certification due within 90 days of starting are required.

Description

Be a visible front line security presence for our Hospital. Protect patients, visitors, employees and property across our medical and academic campuses, maintaining access control in assigned areas and responding to emergency situations. Help maintain lawful environment for lifesaving care.

This position requires weekend/holiday coverage. All Shifts available.

Preferred Criteria

• Bachelors degree, military experience, or 2 years of collegiate course in criminal justice or related field.
• Prior work experience as Security Guard.
• Valid Driver's License.

Required Criteria

• Current NYS Security Guard License.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 90 days of starting in role.
