Job summary

Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center in Enola, PA is seeking a Security Officer on a full-time night shift. The role includes patrolling the facility, responding to emergencies, enforcing rules, and conducting investigations under the supervision of the Director of Security.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Valid Pennsylvania state driver's license.
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (CPR and AED) certification within six months of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Patrol all assigned areas of the facility.
• Respond to calls/Emergency codes immediately per policy.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations as directed and conduct investigations.
• Inform managers of results and communicate safety issues to Director.
• Ensure functioning of radios, vehicles and Life Safety Equipment and assist customers.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Under the supervision of the Director of Security, the Security Officer is responsible to patrol all assigned areas of the facility. The Officer must respond to all calls/Emergency codes immediately, following protocol that has been established in existing policy. The Officer must enforce facility rules and regulations as directed. Officers will do investigations and inform managers of results. The Security Officers Will also inform the Director of safety issues and ensure the functioning of radios, vehicles and Life Safety Equipment. Security Officers will also assist our customers and other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• High School Diploma or equivalency required
• Valid Pennsylvania state driver's license
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (CPR and AED) certification within six months of hiring

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

• Graduate of police academy or security course preferred.
• A minimum of six (6) months police or security experience preferred.
