Allied Universal is seeking a full-time Security Officer in Florida to provide customer service, monitor entry points, and enforce site policies. You will respond to incidents and document all actions while maintaining logs and reports.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Background investigation and drug screen are required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out access-control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor entry points, verify authorization, document arrivals, and direct individuals to locations.
• Respond to incidents and resident concerns in a calm, professional manner following site procedures.
• Maintain accurate access logs and incident reports, communicating to site management.
• Conduct regular patrols of common areas and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 04:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue 04:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed 04:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 04:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 04:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian entry points, verify authorization, document visitor and vendor arrivals, and direct approved individuals to appropriate residential locations.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Maintain accurate access logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while communicating relevant information to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
