Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Screening Support in Fort Worth, TX. You will screen people and items, provide courteous customer service, and support security operations at a logistics and distribution site using tablet or computer tools.

Minimum 6 months of security experience and a high school diploma or equivalent are required. Background checks and a drug screen will be conducted in accordance with laws and site policies.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Ages: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted.
• Licensing depends on state/local rules.
• Driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures.
• Screen employees, visitors, vendors, and/or delivery personnel per access-control and screening procedures.
• Inspect bags, packages, and other items as directed by site procedures and report irregularities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following emergency protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including perimeter, loading areas and access points.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, vendors, and/or delivery personnel in accordance with established access-control and screening procedures.
• Inspect bags, packages, and other permitted items as directed by site procedures, documenting observations and reporting irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the facility perimeter, loading areas, parking areas, and access points, to help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
