Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Screening Reception in Dallas, TX. You will safeguard clients across logistics and distribution environments, monitor access points, screen individuals and materials, and maintain a welcoming, customer-focused environment.

The role is full-time with a daytime schedule, paying $16.82 per hour. You will provide professional service, support routine screening procedures, and collaborate with responders as needed.

Qualifications

• 6 months of security-related experience or more.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by location.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific screening procedures.
• Screen individuals, packages, shipments, and items entering designated areas per procedures and regs.
• Operate screening equipment and perform visual inspections; report findings through channels.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies; coordinate with site contacts and responders.
• Conduct regular patrols of logistics and distribution areas to deter unauthorized activity and report concerns.

As a Security Officer Screening Reception in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor access points, screen individuals and materials, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site‑specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals, packages, shipments, and personal items entering designated areas in accordance with established procedures and applicable regulations.
• Operate screening equipment and perform visual inspections to identify prohibited items, unauthorized materials, or irregularities; report findings through established channels.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned logistics and distribution areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and report security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
