Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Full Time Security Officer in Fort Worth, TX. Pay rate is $16.82 per hour. Schedule is Monday to Friday 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with daily shifts. You will screen people and belongings, monitor access, respond to incidents, and patrol facilities to maintain security.

Minimum six months of security experience is required; high school diploma or equivalent is needed. Background check and drug screening are required by law, with driving positions needing a valid license.

Qualifications

• At least six months of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by carrying out screening procedures and site policies.
• Screen individuals, packages, shipments, and accessible property per procedures and site requirements.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, authorizations, and visitor documentation before entry to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents and escalations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular patrols of screening areas, loading zones, and facility perimeter to identify security concerns.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen individuals, packages, shipments, and accessible property in accordance with applicable procedures and site requirements.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, authorizations, and visitor documentation before permitting entry to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, prohibited-item findings, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading zones, and the facility perimeter to help identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
