Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services provider, is seeking a Security Officer Screening Operations in Niles, OH. This full-time role screens personnel, visitors, and materials to maintain a secure environment at an aerospace/defense site, with professional customer service and alertness to security concerns.

You will verify identifications, respond to alarms, and patrol entry points while upholding site procedures and company values. Salary is hourly with daytime shifts.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen personnel, visitors, vehicles, packages, and materials entering or leaving the aerospace and defense location in accordance with established access-control requirements.
• Verify identification, credentials, authorizations, and visitor documentation before permitting access to restricted areas.
• Respond to screening alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, screening areas, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unauthorized access and reporting irregular conditions.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Screening Operations in Niles, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Screener supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening personnel, visitors, and materials in accordance with site procedures. You will remain alert to security-related concerns, communicate professionally, and provide exceptional customer service while helping to deter unauthorized access. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
