Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific screening procedures.
• Screen individuals, packages, and items entering designated areas; identify prohibited items and report concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and maintain logs of screening activities, visitors, and incidents.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following escalation procedures.
• Conduct patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.

As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening individuals and materials, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with team members, and support smooth operations through attention to detail. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.33 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, packages, and items entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures; identify prohibited or unauthorized items and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain accurate logs of screening activities, visitors, and incidents.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, loading zones, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
