Qualifications

• 6 months of security-related experience.

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

• Background check and drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/regulation.

Responsibilities

• Screen individuals, packages, and belongings and report prohibited or suspicious items.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for staff, visitors, and contractors.
• Respond calmly to incidents and document observations in required reports.
• Conduct regular patrols around the facility and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Intake in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening personnel, visitors, and/or packages, monitoring assigned areas, and reporting suspicious activity. You will remain visible to help deter incidents while providing professional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals, packages, and belongings in accordance with established site procedures and report prohibited or suspicious items to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and document observations and activities in required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
