Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer specializing in Screening Checkpoint Operations in Dallas, TX. You will screen individuals and items, monitor access points, and report security concerns, contributing to a safe, welcoming environment at a busy logistics site.

Position Type: Full Time; Pay Rate: $16.82 per hour. Shift schedule includes Daytime hours and multiple weekend shifts to cover logistics operations. Applicants undergo background checks and drug screening as required by law.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen to be completed where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel following site procedures.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and vehicles per access-control policies.
• Inspect IDs, verify access, and document screening activity using site processes.
• Respond calmly to incidents and alarms per emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points, loading areas, and perimeter and report issues.

As a Security Officer Screening Checkpoint Operations in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by screening individuals and/or items, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with team members, and support operations with integrity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and vehicles in accordance with established access-control and screening procedures.
• Inspect identification, verify authorized access, and document visitor, package, and screening activity using site-required processes.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entry points, loading areas, and the perimeter, and report unusual conditions to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
