Allied Universal in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Equipment Operator. You will provide security services at the site, including screening personnel and packages, monitoring access points, and supporting emergency responses as needed.

The role offers flexible fixed shifts with options to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, aiming for up to 40 hours per week when desired. Pay is $17.22 per hour with a path to additional opportunities.

Qualifications

• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or other items in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials before entry to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents and report concerns through established channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the site.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Equipment Operator in Indianapolis, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or other authorized items in accordance with site procedures and applicable screening requirements.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, documentation, and authorization before permitting entry to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, promptly reporting concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution location, including business areas and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs. is preferred.
• X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
