Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Screening in Indianapolis, IN to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with opportunities to earn more by picking up additional shifts through our scheduling platform. You will deliver customer service, screen employees and visitors, inspect packages, respond to incidents, and patrol screening areas.

A high school diploma is required; prior loss prevention, access control, or X-ray screening experience

Qualifications

• Prior loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Prior access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Prior X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries in accordance with site procedures and access-control requirements.
• Inspect packages, parcels, and other items as directed, identifying prohibited or unauthorized materials and reporting concerns through established channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading docks, facility access points, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Screening in Indianapolis, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Thur 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
