Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Screening Documentation in Zionsville, IN. You will monitor access points, review X-ray images, and identify prohibited items while providing customer service to clients, drivers, visitors and employees.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of security experience. Eligible applicants may be subject to background checks and drug screening in line with federal, state, and local laws.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Background check and drug screen required by policy and law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries per site procedures, verifying identification and directing individuals accordingly.
• Monitor entry/exit points, loading areas, and package-handling operations for unusual activity or policy concerns; report observations through established channels.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and notify appropriate contacts or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and loading zones to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Documentation in Zionsville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will support screening operations by monitoring access points, reviewing X-ray images, and identifying potential prohibited items. You will remain visible to help deter incidents, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and report security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries in accordance with site procedures, including verifying identification, reviewing authorization, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
• Monitor entry and exit points, loading areas, and package-handling operations for unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or policy concerns; report observations through established channels.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and loading areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
