Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer X Ray Detection Technician for a part-time role in Indianapolis, IN. You will serve clients at a logistics and distribution site, using screening equipment and access control to maintain a secure environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A background check and drug screen are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen personnel, visitors, and deliveries entering the location in accordance with access-control and screening procedures.
• Inspect packages, belongings, and shipments as directed and escalate concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents calmly, document observations, and report concerns through established channels.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas and access points to deter unauthorized activity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM; Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM; Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen personnel, visitors, and deliveries entering the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established access-control and screening procedures.
• Inspect packages, belongings, and/or shipments as directed, escalating prohibited items, irregularities, or policy concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through established channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
