Job summary

Allied Universal in Indianapolis is seeking a Security Officer Part Time X Ray Image Analysis to safeguard clients across logistics and distribution settings. You will work a flexible, part-time schedule and use our Shift a Shift platform to explore additional opportunities.

As a Screener, you will identify prohibited items, support loss prevention, and promote a secure environment while maintaining a visible, customer-focused presence. Background checks and a drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• X-ray screening experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while following site security procedures.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, and property entering designated areas.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols and document observations in required reports.

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or property entering designated areas in accordance with established screening procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business and perimeter, and document observations in required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
