Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Driver in College Place, WA. This part-time role involves unarmed campus patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and delivering excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

You will drive between campus locations, follow security procedures, monitor access, complete reports, and respond calmly to incidents. A valid driver's license and HS diploma are required; background check and drug screen apply.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking lots, walkways, and perimeter areas, reporting observed concerns and maintenance issues.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency services.
• Monitor access points and support campus access-control procedures by observing visitor activity, checking credentials when required, and documenting unusual activity.
• Complete accurate reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, while communicating relevant information to supervisors and campus stakeholders.
