Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer X Ray Scanner Operator in Indianapolis, IN to serve clients across logistics and distribution. You will operate screening equipment, monitor access points, and help identify security-related concerns while maintaining a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required; licensing may be required depending on location.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or deliveries in accordance with established procedures, documenting and escalating prohibited items, discrepancies, or unusual activity.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and shipping-related documentation, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading docks, employee entrances, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
