Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer to safeguard a public manufacturing environment in Mehoopany, PA, working across facilities and grounds with varying traffic.

Responsibilities include monitoring, de-escalation, reporting incidents, coordinating with visitors and vendors, and responding to emergencies, with a required high school diploma and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least two (2) years of security, law enforcement or military experience is preferred.
• A valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NMS’ vehicle insurance policy preferred.
• Must be able to cooperate and work as part of a team with fellow employees, customers and clients.
• Must be able to make decisions in the moment with little to no supervision.
• Must be able to be on your feet for 8-12 hours per shift.
• Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English.
• Must be safety oriented as this is a safety sensitive position.
• Must meet and adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations set forth by the company and client.

Responsibilities

• Personally monitors assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
• De-escalates situations to ensure safety.
• Inspects doors, windows, and other areas to ensure security.
• Reports data such as property damage and unusual occurrences.
• Manages site security logistics for incoming and outgoing traffic.
• Warns violators and may apprehend or eject them.
• Notifies on-site personnel of visitors.
• Responds to emergencies or disasters to protect life and property.
• May operate safety and life support computer programs.
• May issue and record ID badges.
• Checks systems (heating, lighting, fire, etc.) to ensure operation.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Position has no supervisory responsibilities.
