Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer in Boise, ID for an unarmed driving role. You will patrol sites, monitor access, and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service to clients, employees, and visitors.

The position is full-time and requires a minimum of 2 years of security experience, supervisory capability, and a valid driver’s license. You will work rotating night shifts and must pass background checks and a drug screen per policy.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Supervisory experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal policy requirements.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by following site-specific procedures and access-control requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of construction areas, offices, staging locations, parking areas, and the property perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and maintain logs.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and document actions taken.
• Assist in maintaining an orderly environment by reporting hazards and security concerns to site management.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Driving Role in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. This driving position offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity, teamwork, and reliability.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of construction areas, offices, staging locations, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials and authorization in accordance with site policies, and maintain accurate logs and reports.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment at a technology, media, and telecommunications-related location by reporting hazards, damaged property, and other security-related concerns to site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Supervisory experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
