Allied Universal in Mahwah, NJ is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver to protect client site operations at a financial institution. The role combines driving with armed patrols, customer service, and vigilant surveillance.

You will monitor entrances, verify credentials, respond to alarms, and document incidents while complying with licensing and site procedures. A valid driver’s license and required permits are essential, along with a 21+ age requirement and background screening.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Response in Mahwah, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. This driving position combines responsible vehicle operation with exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial services location while following site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and assist with visitor and contractor entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required documentation.
• Carry and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
