Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced at Brooklyn Heights, NY. This flexible role offers reliable hours at a residential site and the option to increase earnings by picking up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Responsibilities include greeting residents, screening visitors, monitoring cameras and access points, responding to incidents, and maintaining daily activity logs.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify access authorization, and maintain visitor logs in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and building communication systems; report unusual activity and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to resident concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, following escalation procedures.
• Document daily activities and incidents to support a professional residential environment.

As a Security Officer Residential Building Part Time Front Desk Dispatch in Brooklyn Heights, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $19.00 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a residential location.
• Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify access authorization, and maintain visitor logs in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and/or building communication systems; report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security‑related issues to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to resident concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Support a professional residential environment by providing directions, answering routine inquiries, and documenting daily activities and incidents accurately.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
