Job Description

As a Security Officer - Public Patrol in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting visitors, and maintaining open communication with staff and the public. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. You will be part of a team that values reliability, innovation, and integrity, always putting people first and delivering service through teamwork.

Pay Rate: $15.45 / Hour

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within government locations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter of government facilities. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related incidents to the appropriate authorities.
• Assist in helping to deter unauthorized access and maintain order within the assigned location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required for positions that involve driving responsibilities within the state of employment.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• North Carolina Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
