Job Description

As a Security Officer - Library Patrol in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a government setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting visitors, and maintaining open communication with staff and the public. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. You will be part of a team that values reliability, innovation, and integrity, contributing to a positive environment through teamwork and a people-first approach.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.45 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri02:15 PM - 06:15 PMSun01:15 PM - 05:15 PM

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents to the appropriate authorities.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site policies.
• Support emergency response activities in accordance with established protocols for government locations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required for positions that involve driving.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• North Carolina Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
