You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities within a correctional government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify authorization, and document visitor, vehicle, and incident information in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment, communicate observations with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership, and complete required reports accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
