Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and following protocols, contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials, and document visitor, vehicle, and incident activity per site procedures.
• Prepare reports and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and partners about incidents and observations.

As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and residents by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, grounds, perimeter areas, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and incident activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site contacts, supervisors, and public service partners regarding incidents and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possession of an armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
