Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a military police officer, corrections officer, armed security professional, or a certified law enforcement graduate.
• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Armed guard license or card is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen may be required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

• Conduct regular armed patrols throughout the facility, including entrances and parking areas.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol in Charlotte, NC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.16 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 10:00 PM - 03:00 AM
• Fri 10:00 PM - 03:00 AM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 03:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, including business areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, while remaining alert to unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and help control entry of employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security‑related concerns to appropriate personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3+ years of experience as a military police officer, corrections officer, armed security‑related professional, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
• Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security‑related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
