Job summary

Allied Universal in Houston, TX is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Property Patrol Driver to protect customers and property. You will patrol, deter incidents, and provide excellent service while upholding Allied Universal’s values.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Property Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and employees. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will deliver exceptional customer service and communication while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri: 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat: 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within assigned areas; report security-related concerns, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and completed patrols in required reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
