Job summary

Allied Universal in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Security Officer focused on property access control. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and assist visitors and staff.

The role is full-time with a $21.60 hourly rate and shifts Wed-Sun 2:00 PM–10:30 PM. A minimum of 1 year security experience and strong communication are expected; confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Licensing requirements may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, talent, production personnel, and vendors by following site procedures and access policies.
• Monitor entry points, verify credentials, maintain entry records, and direct authorized individuals to studio, production, and office locations.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns calmly and communicate observations to site leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations.
• Maintain confidentiality related to media productions and client operations.

Pay Rate: $21.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, talent, production personnel, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain entry records, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate studio, production, and office locations.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, production areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Support a professional, welcoming environment while following confidentiality requirements related to media productions, client operations, and personnel information.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
