Allied Universal in Mira Loma, CA is seeking a Security Officer Access Control to protect employees and visitors at a technology-focused campus. This full-time role involves managing entry points, verifying credentials, and maintaining a visible security presence to deter incidents.

You will work daytime/evening shifts as listed, with CPR/First Aid and Guard Card preferred. A high school diploma is required, and a background check plus drug screen will be conducted in compliance with laws.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, a background investigation will be conducted.
• A drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures at a technology-focused location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and log visitors.
• Respond to access-related incidents and emergencies calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points, business areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized access.
• Document incidents and complete required reports, coordinating with site leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain accurate visitor logs, and direct guests according to site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
• Maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, site contacts, and other personnel while documenting incidents and completing required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
