Security Officer, Upper Chesapeake Bel Air, PRN, varies
As Needed & Weekend and Holidays
Interacts with behavioral patients to reduce emotional, physical, and mental stress using verbal and non-verbal de-escalation techniques. If necessary, utilizes Crisis Prevention Institute physical techniques to control aggressive patients for further clinical intervention.
Education & Training: High school diploma or equivalent required. Active BLS certification required. Must achieve Maryland State Police approval and obtain Maryland Security Guard Card within 90 days of hire. Current Maryland Security Guard Card preferred.
Work Orientation & Experience: One (1) year of related experience (Law Enforcement, Correctional Officer, or Milieu experience) required.
Skills & Abilities: Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret security reports. Capable of solving practical problems and handling various situations. Must interpret instructions in written, oral, or scheduled form. Able to work well under pressure during emergencies. Exhibits service excellence and behavioral de-escalation skills. Able to intervene with physically aggressive individuals.
