Top Guard Security, Inc. is hiring an Unarmed Security Officer to support client locations in Suffolk and Windsor, VA. The role offers a pay range of $17 to $19 per hour.

Full-time positions with comprehensive benefits are available, including health coverage and vacation time. You will perform access control, patrols, and security checks, ensuring safety and compliance at the assigned sites. A high school diploma or GED is required, and candidates must pass background checks and pre-employment

Job Skills / Requirements

Position: Unarmed Security Officer

Locations: we service client locations in both Suffolk and Windsor

Pay: $17 - $19 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities

provide access control to grounds and facility

provide walking and/or mobile patrols of grounds and facility

provide vehicle inspections at gate

record tempature checks and inform client when they are out of range

act as courtasy officer in lobbies of facility

Specific Requirements

• Demonstrate professional demeanor at all times, maintaining company expectations for customer service
• Situational decision making; notifications to appropriate personnel as needed

Additional Requirements

• Specialized law enforcement, security and/or military experience or training preferred (1 year or more required for some contract sites)
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check as a condition of employment
• Must be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time, up to a full 8-hour shift
• Must be able to endure cold and hot weather for extended periods of time, up to a full 8-hour shift
• Occasionally lift or pull up to 50lbs
• Speak audibly, clearly and understandable in order to have information understood or to contact authorities.
• Some weekends and holidays may be required.
