Job summary

Top Guard Security, Inc. in Norfolk seeks an Operations Assistant to support daily office operations for our security personnel. You will handle scheduling, timekeeping review, and communication with officers and clients.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree or equivalent, DCJS registration preferred, and strong organizational and people skills. The role offers full-time hours, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to grow within a respected security provider.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent with 1+ years related experience
• DCJS Registration Card preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure

• Ability to work well with all levels of employees from officers to management

Responsibilities

• Daily admin duties such as scheduling, scheduling changes, taking calls from employees with scheduling conflicts, reviewing timekeeping reports to monitor attendance and ensure correct pay per shift.
• Assist officers that come into the office and interview new prospective officers.
• Provide payroll status change forms for job-site changes to payroll.
• Assist the Scheduling Coordinator with call-offs, late arrivals, no-shows, and shift variances.
• Monitor DCJS compliance of assigned personnel and remind officers of pending registrations.
• Notify managers when registrations expire.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Account Manager or TG Manager

Job Skills / Requirements

Position: Operations Assistant

Location: Norfolk - Wards Corner Area

Pay: $19-21, depending on security experience

Hours: Monday - Friday

Duties:

• Daily admin duties such as scheduling, scheduling changes, taking calls from employees with scheduling conflicts, reviewing the timekeeping reports to monitor attendance, corrective actions needed, correct hours are being paid and billed per shift daily
• Assist officers that come into the office, interview new prospective officers, assist with processing new officers.
• provide payroll status change forms for job-site changes to payroll.
• Assist the Scheduling Coordinator with all call-offs, late arrivals, no-shows, and shift variances
• Monitor DCJS compliance of assigned personnel and remind officers of pending registrations required. Notify managers when registrations expire.
• Perform any other duties, as assigned by the Account Manager or other TG Manager

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with one or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• private security DCJS Registration Card preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a friendly demeanor
• Good organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure and prioritize work
• Commitment to the objectives of the company
• Ability to work well with all levels of employees from officers to management
