Top Guard Security, Inc. is seeking Security Officers to support a client in Virginia Beach. This full-time position offers paid training, comprehensive insurance, and opportunities for advancement. Shifts span Day, Mid, and Night hours to cover 6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm, and 10pm–6am.

Requirements include High School Diploma/GED, CPR/AED certification, and either a DCJS Armed License or ability to obtain one. Background checks and drug screening apply.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• FT
• Day shift
• Monday - Sunday 6am - 2pm
• Mid-Shift
• Monday - Sunday 2pm - 10pm
• Night Shift
• Monday - Sunday 10pm - 6am

Duties include:

• Access control in a secured building.
• Patrolling the facility
• Completing radio checks with the other officer and our client
• Checking in all visitors
• Communicating with various staff on visitors and/or issues occurring
• Other duties as assigned by Account Manager and/or our client

This job requires standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time, stooping, bending, pulling, pushing, grasping, walking, running, carrying and climbing.

Requires infrequent lifting or carrying of objects up to 50 lbs.

Must have or be able to get CPR/AED certified

Must have DCJS Armed License or able to get an Armed License

Will have an extensive background check completed on them prior to starting work

Must be able to pass a drug test and are subject to random screenings per client's request

Must be willing to get baton certified

Must be at least 25 years of age

Must have a valid driver's license with no violations

Authorized to work in the United States

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Must be able to endure cold and hot weather for extended periods of time, up to a full 8-hour shift

Speak audibly, clearly and understandable in order to have information understood or to contact authorities.

Weekends and holidays required.

Demonstrate professional demeanor at all times, maintaining company expectations for customer service

Strong Communication Skills

Situational decision making; notifications to appropriate personnel as needed
