Top Guard Security, Inc. is seeking a full-time Unarmed Security Officer to serve at client sites in Norfolk, VA. You will perform access control, verify credentials, monitor entrances, issue visitor badges, and maintain a professional presence to deter incidents.

Responsibilities include patrolling facilities, monitoring CCTV, directing traffic, and assisting staff and visitors. Must obtain a DCJS Unarmed License and CPR/AED certification; a high school diploma is required.

FT Unarmed Security Officer

Norfolk VA

As a FT Security Officer you will serve and safeguard our client, staff, visitors, and building. As an Access Control Officer supporting some of the best-known clients in Tidewater you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access through verifying identity, documenting, and contacting employee they are there to see, providing them a visitors badge and retrieving the badge when they are leaving, and maintain a professional presence and attitude that helps deter security-related incidents. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and support site operations through teamwork and integrity.

Job Schedule:

Shifts may vary slightly. There are also PT positions for weekends available for all shifts.

FT

Day shift

Friday - Tuesday 6am - 2pm or 7am - 3pm

Mid-Shift

Saturday - Wednesday 2pm - 11pm or 3pm - 11pm

Night Shift

Wednesday - Sunday 10pm - 6am or 11pm - 7am

Duties include:

Manning the entrances to the building.

Performing access control to the facility.

Inspecting personnel, and visitors, entering and exiting the facility. Provide traffic control by directing traffic, vehicle and pedestrian, checking parking permits and ID's.

Performing counter surveillance of the premises.

Monitoring CCTV equipment.

Performing patrols of the facility.

Other duties as specified in the current Security Officers Procedure supplied by client.

This job requires standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time, stooping, bending, pulling, pushing, grasping, walking, running, carrying and climbing. Requires infrequent lifting or carrying of objects up to 50 lbs.

Must have or be able to get CPR/AED certified

Must have DCJS Unarmed License or are able to get a license through DCJS (Department of Criminal Justice Services
