Job summary

Allied Universal in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Full Time Security Officer for a pharma facility. You will provide unarmed security, monitor access, and patrol interior and exterior areas to deter incidents and welcome patients and staff.

The position runs Sunday through Thursday 11:00 PM–7:00 AM with starting pay of $22.05 per hour, paid orientation and training, and free parking. A background check and possible CPR/First Aid prerequisites apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Age: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a healthcare-related location by following site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking and entry points.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions to maintain a professional environment.
• Document patrols and incidents accurately per site requirements.

As a Security Officer in Cambridge, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to security-related needs. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a healthcare-related location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business operations, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, and support a professional, controlled environment for personnel and guests.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
