Allied Universal is currently hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a pharma location in Lexington, MA.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and conditions that may require follow-up.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and visitor access as directed by site policies, and document security-related observations, incidents, and daily activities in required reports.
- Support a professional environment by following post orders, assisting with directions and general inquiries, and helping to address security-related concerns with courtesy and adherence to site protocols.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license (as per Allied Universal driver policy requirements).
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
- CPR certification and/or First Aid certification (preferred).
- Customer service experience (preferred).
- Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Background check required by federal, state, and local laws; qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered in line with applicable laws.
- Drug screen required where permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
