Job summary

Allied Universal, Riverside, CA, is seeking a Security Officer Perimeter Observation to patrol a busy retail location, deter incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. This full-time, unarmed role requires attention to detail and strong communication in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• Driver license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor customer and employee activity, report suspicious behavior, and promptly communicate security-related concerns, hazards, and policy violations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately in required reports and logs.

As a Security Officer Perimeter Observation in Riverside, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
