Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Patrol Property Observation in Riverside, CA. In this role you will serve and safeguard clients across government locations, deter incidents with a visible patrol, and deliver professional customer service.

You will respond to incidents, monitor access points, complete clear incident reports, and work as part of a team dedicated to safety, reliability, and integrity.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• A drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of government buildings, parking areas, public spaces, and perimeter areas to identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity, assisting with directions and communicating information to staff.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents and daily activities, maintaining professional communication with site representatives and Allied Universal leadership.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and escalating concerns as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of government buildings, parking areas, public-access spaces, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with directions and communicating relevant information to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities, and maintain professional communication with site representatives and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
