Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Perimeter Guard in Tempe, AZ to protect clients across multiple industries at a financial institution. You will monitor areas, perform patrols, maintain visibility, and deliver excellent customer service as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• Supervisory experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigations in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• 18+ years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas to identify unusual conditions.

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to established procedures.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining a professional presence consistent with Allied Universal and client expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
• Possess supervisory experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
